About
A lifelong composter, Charlotte’s interest became a passion in 2015 thanks to a transformative Gardening & Compost Educator Course in San Francisco.
Since then she’s taught composting, vermiculture, and Integrated Pest Management for various audiences and worked as co-coordinator with the California Alliance for Community Composting to support new and developing compost sites across the state.
After moving back to New England, Charlotte quickly became embedded in the Rhode Island composting community by taking the URI Food Recovery for RI course. From there she has volunteered and worked with organizations doing all kinds of composting including bokashi and vermiculture, and at all scales from residential, community, and events, to school composting.
Charlotte is an enthusiastic educator who loves to share about the power of compost to fight climate change, regenerate soil, and build community.
